Today would have been James Dewitt Yancey (aka Jay Dee, or J Dilla)’s 39th birthday. Dilla was arguably one of the most influential and respected Hip-Hop producers, and has become somewhat of a legend among beatmakers and Hip-Hop aficionados, myself included.
